Teignbridge, United Kingdom United Response Full time

**Do you like the idea of a job with variety?**

**Are you inspired by the idea of working and tutoring young people?**

**If you answered yes to these questions then United Response wants to hear from you We are looking for friendly, patient people to join our education team in Teignbridge.**

**£21,879 Pro Rata (Term time only)**

ROC College is one of the brilliant ways we aim to provide the support that the people we work with actually need, not what we think they need. It’s all about helping young people and adults to learn and develop the key life skills they need in order to live as independently as possible.

**What does a Student Support do?**

The role of Student Support can be hugely varied as each person we support may need something different but you will be responsible for:

- Designing bespoke education plans
- Planning lessons and activities
- Finding ways to encourage engagement in the community
- Develop life skills
- This may include employment, travelling, cooking etc.
- Assessing outcomes and progress
- Teaching functional maths and English skills where appropriate

**What we need from you**:
To be a successful Student Support you should be a proactive individual with the ability to use your initiative to ensure that you provide the most tailored content possible to the people you support. We are looking for an active, enthusiastic person who is keen to promote the benefits and opportunities that come from interacting with the community as much as possible. To be considered for the role of Student Support you don’t need previous teaching experience but we do ask for previous experience of working with learning disabilities and ideally behaviours that challenge. If you can combine these things with initiative, patience and good life skills then you will make a great Student Support.

**What you get from us**:
As well as a good degree of autonomy, development opportunities and the chance to make a difference you will receive:

- Pension contribution
- Cycle to work scheme
- Access to free occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice services
- Fully paid training and access to nationally recognised qualifications
- Travel to work scheme (season ticket loan)
- 2x basic salary life assurance scheme
- Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3,500 retailers
- Refer a friend scheme

We reserves the right to close this vacancy early.
