**Job overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Volunteers/Patient Experience Team to develop new and existing volunteering programs at Rochdale and across the Northern Care Alliance. The post holder will establish and implement new ways in which volunteers can contribute to support staff patients and service users both in an acute and community setting.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the volunteer services team. Using a high degree of initiative by coordinating the day-to-day running of the Volunteer service office and prioritising daily requests to ensure we provide an efficient and effective service for our service users, volunteers, and staff.

- Numerate & Literate level 2
- ECDL or equivalent IT qualifications/demonstrable standard
- NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent or evidence of this standard obtained through demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience.

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Experience of undertaking a range of administrative tasks including being part an interview team
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Able to work to deadlines and under pressure
- IT skills - word processing, spreadsheet, database development and maintenance
- Developed communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of staff, volunteers and the general public, face to face via telephone.
- Experience of dealing with sensitive/distressing issues
- Excellent Customer Service Experience

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of working with volunteers and knowledge of volunteer policies
- Experience of working in a variety of care settings
