Clinical Trials Administrator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Closely liaise with Central Registration to ensure new patient referrals are registered onMedway, triaged and subsequently appointed in accordance with clinical instructions.Liaise with PA/Medical Secretary to ensure accurate booking of clinical appointments forboth new and review patients. Book appointments, liaising with Schedulers as appropriate ensuring appointments aremade in accordance with clinical instructions. Contribute to the compliance of all patient pathway targets. Working closely with the clinicians, manage clinic templates including amendingappointment slots, cancelling or reducing streams due to annual leave, adding newstreams and adding ad hoc or new clinics onto the Patient Administration System(Medway).
Ensure accurate input of patient details when entering data onto information databasesand Patient Administration System (Medway), including routine use of the case notetracking system.1 Ensure all relevant information is available to multi-disciplinary meetings for your team.Coordinate case notes and reports where necessary. Deal professionally with telephone calls from relative/patients which can be emotionaland of a sensitive nature. Liaising with staff at all levels both internally and externally, answering written and verbalenquiries when necessary, taking action on all matters which can be dealt with withoutfurther reference. Audio typing support for Medical Secretaries.
Provide information required to support investigation of litigation cases. Provide statistical information to the Information Department as required. Delegate to clerical team members to ensure relevant paperwork is available for clinicappointments and admissions. Contribute to the training of new members of staff with a given area as required.
