As our Purchasing Controller, your main duties are to ensure components are ordered, quality checked, and received to maintain the stock levels required for production. You will be responsible for the warehousing and transfer of components between departments as well as dealing with any supply issues which arise.

You will report to the Production Manager and work closely with them and other departments to obtain all required items for the running of the business.

Duties will include:

- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Sourcing new components upon request from design/manufacture departments
- Creating, updating, and maintaining process documentation
- Maintaining up to date supplier records and product details
- Maintaining the integrity of the stock database
- Resolving compliance issues with suppliers
- Quality control of components
- Receiving, packing, and warehousing components

Excellent communication and organisational skills are required to handle demand from both internal and external sources. Compliance with ISO9001 quality standards would need to be maintained whilst identifying and implementing process improvements within the department.

Previous purchasing experience is essential, and the right person will also:

- Have good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have strong IT skills
- Be self-motivated and work within a team
- Be organised and be able to manage own workload
- A background in engineering purchasing would be beneficial

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £29,000.00 per year
