**Regional Attendance hub - Education Attendance Officer**

**POST**: Regional Hub Education Attendance Officer
**RESPONSIBLE TO**:Regional Director with oversight of national attendance
**GRADE**: Scale 5, SP12 to SP16 (£24,496 to £26,357) (Pro Rata £13,374 to £14,390) + Local Government Pension Scheme.
**KEY RELATIONSHIPS**:Regional Director with oversight of national attendance, Regional Directors, National Directors. Academy Leadership Team; relevant teaching and support staff; LA representatives; partner professionals; parents; local community; other Oasis Academies and Oasis Community Learning central staff.
**RESPONSIBLE TO: T**he post holder will report directly to the Regional Director with oversight of national attendance.
**LOCATION**:Flexible**:
- **Regionally based across attendance hub in a selected academy across attendance hub and travel as needed with the regional attendance hub.
**WORKING PATTERN**:23 hours per week Tuesday - Thursday, term time + two weeks
**DISCLOSURE LEVEL**:Enhanced
**The main purpose of the role is to**:
- Provide an oversight of attendance registers in every academy in the attendance hub and analyse the attendance data in line with OCL attendance strategy.
- Audit each register across the attendance hub so that they are compliant to the latest DfE guidance and best practice. Keep up to date with DfE guidance, continuously contribute ideas to design and effective running of attendance across the regional attendance hub.
- Support to reduce persistent absence and so attendance increases in every academy.
- Support and advise colleagues both locally and nationally on attendance matters, sharing and highlighting best practice with colleagues both locally and nationally on attendance matters.
- Support academies before, during and post OfSTED inspection.
- Design and lead training for attendance officers in academies.
- Contribute the LOP process regarding attendance matters across the regional attendance hub.
**RANGE OF DUTIES**
- Academy visits to carry out termly attendance register audits across their hub, attendance tracker audits, reports for academies, Regional Directors and National Directors.
- To ensure attendance codes across the regional attendance hub are DfE compliant.
- To provide attendance support to the attendance hub academies where there are issues affecting school attendance and maintain an oversight of attendance across the hub.
- Attend and contribute to national attendance meetings weekly giving updates, following up actions and providing an oversight of their attendance hub.
- To collaboratively work on strategies to reduce the percentage of PA (Persistent Absence) and lateness across the regional attendance hub.
- To ensure across the regional attendance hub that OCL policies regarding attendance are consistently applied.
- To support academies regarding attendance before, during and following up an OFSTED inspection.
- Prepare and deliver training about attendance across the national portfolio of academies.
- Where necessary demonstrate good practice on home visits and in meetings with external bodies with academy attendance leads
- Set up, lead and contribute termly to the hub RIN for attendance.
- Attend and contribute into the regional LOP process.
