Job Summary

Moog are looking to recruit an experienced Stores Operative to join our Logistics team in Tewkesbury. Your responsibilities will include proper counts, handling, storage and issuing of a wide range of products manufactured and purchased. Within this role you will check counts of parts as necessary, store parts in designated locations, on shelves, racks or automated industrivers.

Key Responsibilities

By remaining organised you will prepare and issue parts for the assembly and machining areas, sub-contractors or customers as required. It will be your responsibility to forward deliver and collect parts to/from persons or areas designated.

You will be prepared to complete other duties as required within the logistics’ group, these could include driving the shuttle van, operating vacform manufacturing equipment, loading and operating cleaning equipment for transit trays, appropriate training will be provided. Being able to operate a counterbalance Forklift Truck, would be an advantage but is not essential.

The working environment can involve lifting of heavy weights and manual handling equipment must be used in accordance with the Health & Safety guidelines.

Key skills
- Ideally you will have experience of working with parts within an aerospace, automotive or manufacturing industry
- Ability to work to own initiative and be responsible for your own work
- Counterbalance forklift driving ability would be an advantage but not essential
- IT skills in order to work around our in-house stock control system
