Northampton, United Kingdom Inspirations Full time

**Inspirations is a mental health charity run by and for those with mental health difficulties. We began work in Blackpool with services such as social groups, trips around the country and counselling. We have started an exciting new project in Northampton, providing supported living and step down support for people with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). Our goal is to provide a therapeutic community that supports people to manage their own risks and support each other towards recovery.**

**Therapeutic community is a model of support where people (staff and people using the service) work together with shared responsibilities for the upkeep of the environment and for supporting each other. The project is a shared house for four people with EUPD. We are creating an environment so people with longstanding difficulties can build responsibility, skills and resilience and so the best chance of maintaining their community recovery. This support role will include emotional support as well as some practical support in day to day tasks. You will be supported by experienced management and a counsellor who will be facilitating regular group sessions with the people using our service.**

**We are seeking bank, part time and full time staff.**

**About you, about the role**

We will provide full training. All staff will undergo training beyond that of other support roles, including specialist support techniques. This helps our work with our clients and also supports career development and salary increases.

This role is working with those with self harming and suicidal behaviours and so will be stressful at times and require resilience. You will be supported by management and colleagues in this and also have access to counselling support if necessary.

Developing trusting, genuine relationships is key to the therapeutic environment. An environment where we work in partnership with the person while minimising any power imbalances and hopefully removing the staff/service user dynamic as much as possible.

We are working in full partnership with the NHS and local authority. Staff will have many development opportunities as well as being supported by experienced management and having access to wellness support and counselling.

**Job Types**: Bank, part time, full

time.

Role begins as soon as possible.
