Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be fully accountable for the purchasing of European products, predominantly French products. You will provide a vital service to the purchasing and sales team building supplier relationships with our non UK suppliers

This role requires a knowledge of the import and export requirements in light of Brexit. A French speaker is ideal, but is not essential.

HYBRID ROLE

**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for the procurement of mainly European products including, Fresh fruit and Vegetables, Dairy and Meat
- Forecast long term demand and availability across suppliers - including seasonal availability and demand
- Implement supply agreements and order process with suppliers outside the UK
- Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order-to-order materials, goods and supplies
- Review inventories and order as required
- Review deliveries against the orders
- Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods
- Research potential vendors, for new range opportunities and price comparisons
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality of purchased product
- Team ethos - with solid team working skills
- French & European Supplier Knowledge and experience
- Experience and Knowledge of European Hauliers
- Underpinning knowledge of SAP an advantage, however, training will be given.
