**Head of Business Systems/Business Analyst (Essex/Kent)**

**Are you aBusiness Systems/Business Analyst/Applications Manager living in the Essex or Kent area? The HQ is based in Basildon and Dartford. This will be a remote role with some travel to the Basildon or Dartford HQ once every twoweeks or once a month.**

**THE Hiring Managers Vison**

**You will be joining a £200 Business who have 4 BIG acquisition plans for 2023-2024. We are looking for someone who has been in a Technical Role (SQL knowledge) and can talk to the internal business to build a better Technology RoadMap.**

Key Aims
- Business Analyst and Projects based capacity
- Someone with a high-level overview
- A Business Analyst with Workflow and Technical Background (SQL or Someone who may have been a Software Developer)
- Someone with an Business Systems/Applications Management background?
- People Management skills
- Some understanding of SQL and able to talk to the Software Developers Service Delivery, Infrastructure & Development teams, Group SMT's and all system stakeholders including external customer

**General Duties/Key Responsibilities**:

- Making recommendations on whether to upgrade the existing systems or install new ones
- Leading teams of IT specialists in the implementation and upgrading of network hardware and software
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software developments
- Ensuring productivity in development and ensuring development standards are being met
- People management of direct reports, including recruiting, training, engaging and retention

**KNOWLEDGE**:

- Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices.
- Knowledge of database management.
- Knowledge of advanced systems analysis methods, practices, and principles.
- Knowledge of cost modelling principles.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Demonstrated skill in developing automated business systems.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Leadership, negotiation and influencing
- Comfortable communicating with clients to draw out needs and requirements
- Able to write SQL queries and use SQL Management Studio (we are NOT looking for a Programmer or Programmer level)

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience preparing data and workflow analyses
- Experience leading and facilitating training, technical support, and technical writing
- Familiarity with Project management principles
- Experience with information system troubleshooting

**QUALIFICATIONS (NOT ESSENTIAL)**
- Technologies; SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Processes: Agile, Prince2, Six Sigma
