Activities Assistant

To cover such comparable duties as may be required by your Line Manager and the Registered Manager.
- Support the activities lead in maintaining and managing activity care plans, ensuring they are reviewed on a month basis.
- In the absence of the activities lead, to take appropriate action to comply with policies and procedures of the Home, ensuring the well-being of all service users, reporting to senior person in charge of the shift. Ensuring any changes with regards to needs have been recorded and communicated.
- Manage and schedule own workload to meet with deadlines and timescales whilst identifying and managing any risks to quality of service provided, in line with activities lead allocation of duties and responsibilities.
- Staff must also ensure that all residents needs are responded to promptly and in line with the individual’s personal preferences and the Home’s policies and procedures and ensuring the safety and welfare of the resident is maintained.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of activities and social interactions of all residents.
- To be sensitive to personal and confidential, company and individual information.
- Maintain own professional development and mandatory training in line with company requirements.
- To be creative in ways of communicating to residents we support as well as demonstrating a positive attitude towards the elderly and those experiencing a Dementia.
- To be able to work under pressure due to the unpredictability of the work and have a certain amount of flexibility to the role to support the smooth running of the Home
