- Job description- You will play an important role in planning for, responding to, and recovering from flood and environment incidents in Kent, South London and East Sussex (KSLES).
You will primarily lead activities for the Environment Incident portfolio:

- Supporting incident planning activities by providing environment management (EM) incident expertise.
- Provide expert incident response advice for environment incidents, e.g. what plans exist, where information can be found.
- Supports and assures development of EM incident plans.
- Provides expert environment incident advice for training, exercising and assists in the facilitation and creation of training and exercising days.
- Works nationally with Environment & Business, and Incident Management & Resilience teams to support incident management activities.
- Embeds lessons learned from exercises and incidents from an EM or cross-cutting perspective.
- Role Delivery Lead for Tactical Liaison Officer and Gold Lead Support Officer.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

Experience/skills required- You will need to be a natural leader who has proven understanding and experience of incident management and the role of the Environment Agency in incidents. You will need to be agile and dynamic to situations, enabling you to continuously re-prioritise your work without losing sight of the long-term vision and our local ambitions.

- Contact and additional information- Your base location can be any KSLES office. You will need to be able to travel regularly to our incident room at our West Malling office. There will be occasions when working from an office location will be essential and other occasions optional with home working.
