We have an exciting opportunity for experienced carers to join us to cover day and night shifts as Mobile Support Workers to support residents based within the Buckshaw Retirement Village which is located between Leyland & Chorley.

All shifts will be within the retirement village either at our specialist dementia care home or at our independent & assisted living accommodation, so travel is not required.

- **Pay & Hours**:_
- Rate of Pay - £11.00 per hour, increasing to £11.42 per hour upon completion of 6 months service
- Hours of Work - 24 - 36 hours per week
- Shift Pattern - Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend
- **The Role**:_

As a member of our Mobile Support Worker network, you will work across the village covering shifts with the Chorley Home Care team at our independent and assisted living accommodation as well as working across the communities at The Lodge.

**This is an ideal opportunity to meet different people, experience different communities and support needs, and receive an excellent training package.**

You will be offered regular contracted hours and will receive your rota in advance so that you can fit work around your other commitments.

As a Mobile Support Worker you will:

- Play a vital role in ensuring that our residents across the site are able to access care and support as required in line with their needs and wants.
- Enjoy a wide and varied workload that allows you to gain experience with a variety of clients with a wealth of different care and support needs.
- Get to know and be part of the various care teams across the village, becoming a valuable source of knowledge and support to these teams when required to assist them in delivering care to the individuals that we support.

As you will be working across site some experience of care work is required for this role but you will also complete our company induction delivered by our on-site training team and spend time work shadowing at each location to help you settle in, develop and grow as a valued member of our Mobile Support Worker network.

The Retirement Village provides a unique approach by combining beautiful, purpose-built accommodation with a dynamic and lively activity and wellbeing programme alongside access to 24-hour care and support. The village is home to our on-site bistro and bar, hairdressing salon, village shop and wellbeing suite. The Chorley Home Care team are available for additional care and support as required by residents of our independent and assisted living accommodation.

Also within the village is The Lodge, which is our purpose-built dementia care home. There are four different communities within The Lodge, each dedicated to delivering care in line with individual needs and requirements. The communities centre around our innovative, self-contained Market Square which is home to our café, cinema, hairdressing salon and courtyard garden and provides the focus for our regular activity program.
