**About the role**

Location: UK Wide - Hybrid role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HSES Training Lead to join our HSES Team to support the full range of HSES training activities within the UK and enable the delivery of the Balfour Beatty UK HSES strategy.

**This is a flexible role, which will include working from home & travelling to various sites across the UK**

**What you'll be doing**
- Lead a team of Professional Trainers to deliver the full CITB SSP programme integrated with Balfour Beatty requirements.
- Deliver long and medium term strategy for the team.
- Liaise with CITB as ATO Lead.
- Liaise IOSH, IEMA, UKATA,ACPCS, HSE and various industry and regulatory bodies.
- Deliver HSES programmes in both classroom and virtual classroom environments.
- Deliver reporting on team outputs and progress against strategy.

**Who we're looking for**
- Hold training certifications to deliver CITB SSP courses.
- Knowledge / experience of working in the construction industry.
- Experience in the design, delivery and sourcing of HSE training.
- Experienced with Learning Management Systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the interpersonal skills to interact and influence at all levels (internal stakeholders, client and external suppliers)
- Experience in leading improvement actions
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 5001 philosophy and principles.
- Ability to coach and communicate it with enthusiasm.
- Passionate about developing people and be driven to achieve success.

To deliver any of the Site Safety Plus suite of courses, you must hold at least one of the following qualifications:

- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
- NVQ/SVQ Level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health
- Health and Safety degree
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D
- Diploma Safety Management Level 6

As well as one of the above qualifications, you must also hold the following:

- A formal training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in education and training (AET) or CITB recognised exemption.
