St Helens are promoting movement from addiction to independence by providing a range of clinical and psychosocial interventions, including one-to-one structured support, Foundation of Recovery, community detoxification and Harm Reduction interventions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Change Grow Live St Helens Integrated Recovery Service, for a
**Children and Families Early intervention Recovery Coordinator** post to work across the St Helens borough.

Building bridges St Helens is an established and innovative project taking a whole family, behavior change and recovery focused approach with families impacted by parental substance use.The building bridges project works alongside children’s services to recognise when substance use is a problem. Families will then be offered dedicated therapeutic interventions and support.

Working in partnership with St Helens children’s services and partner agencies and under the direction of the Team Leader the post holder will be an integral member of the ‘Building Bridges St Helens family team’ delivering comprehensive packages of care to adult service users seeking help in addressing their substance use and social care needs. The post holder will also work within the multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) screening referrals made to Childrens service and providing specialist insight regarding the impact of parental substance use.

**Salary**:£26,393.77 - £30,316.74 dependent on experience

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Carry a caseload and act as a care coordinator for service users and families, providing comprehensive assessments, care planning and reviews with an emphasis on improving the well - being and engagement of parents accessing drug and alcohol treatment.
- Delivering individual support packages for families that aim to address the impact of parental substance use and the development and implementation of pathways that complement the work of local partners such as Early Intervention & Targeted Support, families first, Children’s Social Care and education providers.
- Liaise closely with St Helens council, social work and early help staff within the borough.
- Work across a number of operational sites across the borough as required and work flexibly within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.

**About you**:

- Contribute to the service to ensure that service users consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards.
- Liaise closely with St Helens council, social work and early help staff within the borough.
- Experience of delivering 1:1 and group work, including evidenced based interventions.
- Knowledge of current legislation surrounding young people and safeguarding practice.
- Sensitivity in working with complex family issues.
- Experience of contributing to / chairing multi-agency meetings.
