Biocair has locations in the UK in Cambridge, Heathrow and Edinburgh and this role will also support our office in Singapore. This role is instrumental in delivering our people strategy and partnering with the business teams to deliver company objectives as well as being the trusted advisor, consultant and expert on local employment legislation and practice.

**About this role**:
**Strategy and Projects**
- Take accountability for specific People actions required in the region and designated portfolio, reporting on progress and success measures;
- Support the design and delivery of the people strategy in line with corporate objectives and that enhances employee motivation, development, and performance;
- Support the delivery of key projects, current examples include workforce planning, learning & development, talent, and succession planning and corporate social responsibility.

**Business Partnering**
- Develop a trusting, consultative relationship with managers, coach and advise on all aspects of people management and leadership;
- Drive and support a coaching culture, playing an exemplary role in people management practice and building strong networks within and beyond the company;
- Proactively develop people policies and processes that foster harmonious employee relations reinforcing and support our culture and values;
- Review and evaluate people experience activities to ensure best practice and innovation, and drive improvements through collaboration;
- Leverage evidence-based data analytics to produce credible insights and recommendations.

**Employee Experience**
- Support on business change initiatives and associated employee consultation and focus groups;
- Provide a visible and proactive People service to the business, acting as an internal go-to and sounding board on people-related topics for employees at all levels;
- Provide support to other global offices as required, including supporting work required to set up new offices and new country entities;
- Oversee remuneration and employment benefits provision in Region and collaborate with reward on annual processes.

**Process and Governance**
- Complete necessary annual submissions, audits and legislative requirements for each relevant location;
- In collaboration with the wider People Team review, improve and implement People processes that actively support the business and manage the HR system.

**KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**

**Desirable**:

- Professional, Chartered or Master Professional membership with HR Professional Body relevant to the region

**Essential**:This role requires an experienced HR professional with generalist knowledge, an excellent understanding of employment law for the UK and the capability to learn employment law for other locations.

**In addition, the incumbent will have the following**:

- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and recruitment;
- Proven experience of working with managers and relationship building in a complex business;
- Strong ER experience including change processes (redundancy, TUPE) and handling complex Employee relations cases successfully;
- Prior involvement in policy creation;
- Experience in supporting reward processes (salary review, bonus’);
- Confident user of HR systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
- Adept advisor with good coaching skills to provide consistently trusted advice and explore options and solutions;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data;
- Proven ability to work effectively in teams and with individuals at all levels within an organization and understanding of different cultural contexts;
- Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities and exercise independent working;
- Strong facilitation and communication skills;
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability and ethical behaviour;
- Resilient and comfortable with transparency, ambiguity, and change;
- Approachable and empathetic but firm enough to push back or escalate issues when necessary.
