Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the cafe, and providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering high-quality food and beverages.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, assembling sandwiches, and brewing coffee
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cafe, including wiping down surfaces, sanitizing equipment, and restocking supplies
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders, handling payments, and addressing customer inquiries
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Help create a welcoming atmosphere for customers by maintaining a clean and inviting cafe environment

Qualifications:

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £11.44-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
