**Are you familiar with VMware?**
You will report to the Infrastructure Site Lead. You will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the Infrastructure Monitoring Systems, that span across two of our client’s sites. You will take ownership of any infrastructure issues, progressingthem within the infrastructure team.

You will be supported by a fantastic infrastructure team of various disciplines and levels across both sites in this very hands-on role.
- Maintain and manage current infrastructure monitoring tools
- Carry out audits across the infrastructure to ensure device availability is captured
- Maintenance and production of technical documentation around monitoring tools, including troubleshooting documents for alert types
- Configuration of infrastructure alerting, define thresholds, create shared dashboards across the infrastructure teams and monthly reporting
- Capacity planning and reporting for storage
- Be part of problem management sessions in relation to the client infrastructure and monitoring
- Work alongside a skilled team of Infrastructure Engineers at the client sites. Escalating alerts for remediation when required.
- Monitoring of VMware infrastructure, hypervisors and underlying hardware
- Monitoring of Wintel servers, Linux workloads and Enterprise Storage Platforms
- Supporting remote customer sites working with multiple infrastructure teams
- Provide reports on monitoring, availability & capacity to Service Management

**What you will bring**:

- Experience in one or more of the following Operating Systems/environments: Windows Server (various versions), Unix/Linux (various flavours), and VMware environments
- Basic understanding of Incident, problem, and change management processes
- Be able to demonstrable ability to adapt to new technologies, skillsets and to learn quickly
- Able to work with and understanding of Event Management data (eventlogs, syslogs, etc)

**It would be great if you had**:

- Experience involving multiple Operating System vendors
- Cyber Security or any other security related degree
- Computer Science or similar degree
- Extensive experience working in a large enterprise virtualised environment
- ITIL Foundation or Intermediate certification
- Any Microsoft Certifications
- Experience working on a service desk, or NOC (Network Operations Centre)
- Scripting around Automation and Monitoring (Powershell, Ansible, etc)
