We are recruiting for an enthusiastic SEND administrator will work within the Inclusive Learning team and will provide high quality administrative support services, undertaking various administrative procedure within the team. The post holder will have contact with staff and students and external professionals.

The Inclusive Learning Support department provides one-to-one, small group, workshops and in-class support for students with a wide range of needs on mainstream programmes. Students may need support with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs) like Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), learning difficulties, mental health, physical, sensory, health or medical needs**. **The department supports a high number of students with Education Health Care Plans**.**

Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and due to develop a brand-new technology-focussed STEM Centre for 2024.

This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links - it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.

Main duties include:

- To organise and arrange assessments for exam access arrangements, liaising with Exams.
- To liaise with Exams to ensure learners have access arrangements for all external assessments/exams
- To liaise with the Speech and Language therapists to book sessions for learners for support.
- To inform students of access arrangements and speech and language assessments and monitor and record attendance.
- To support the EHCp and Transition Coordinator and SENCo to collate and review student feedback
- To assist the SENCo to prepare the high needs funding spreadsheet and liaise with the Finance Team
- Support the EHCp and Transition Coordinator and SENCo with transition support sessions working with student support services
- To liaise with SALT and schedule the SAL sessions and to book the rooms.
- To monitor and track learners on Maths and English courses and update spreadsheets
- To update ILS timetables and liaise with the team.
- Upload EHCPs and Annual Reviews to Promonitor
- To carry out routine administrative tasks
- To use IT programmes (such as Promonitor and Pro-Solution) to access data for information purposes and to produce reports as directed by the manager
- To use the college’s information systems to access student information where appropriate
- To create, use and maintain databases/spreadsheets according to the needs of the department
- To liaise with the manager updating records on new student admissions
- To liaise with the Student Records department, where appropriate and as required by the manager
- To assist with the organisation of department meetings including producing agendas and taking notes or minutes when required.
- To administer paperwork and schedule meetings for Annual Reviews and other learner meetings.
- To support the manager in ensuring that HR are notified of any staff absences
- To maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of department related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.
- To carry out tasks and duties as may be reasonably required by the manager.
