Main Duties:

- Process vendor invoice allocation to branches and resolve discrepancies identified from validations/reconciliations including non-delivery of goods.
- Validate goods received not invoiced balance by comparing vendor invoices received to goods delivered information and resolve discrepancies identified from validations/reconciliations.
- Process customer receipts are posted and resolve discrepancies from reconciliations Communicate with vendors and internal functions to resolve identified queries.
- Process Funeral Division sales ledger transactions to ensure all reconciliations are complete and up to date.
- Support credit control operations for the Funeral Division and liaise with external debt collection and legal advisors.
- Support the finance team, including month-end close activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- To perform any ad-hoc tasks requested by Management executives and line managers.
- Have a basic understanding of VAT & Banking processes within the Society.
- To demonstrate a high standard of appearance and conduct at all times.
- To promote good working relationships both in own department and across the Society divisions.
- Observe all safety and hygiene regulations and practices as laid down by the Society under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
- To observe at all times regulations and procedures as described in the Society’s Employee Handbook.

Relevant Experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- IT Literate
- Use of accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Having a relevant Finance / Accountancy / Math qualification would be desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of working with volumes of data
