Coldstore Operative

Overview:
**The Role and Team**

**This role is 40 hours per week working any 5 in 6 days.**

The role of our Coldstore Operators is critical to the success of our business. Our Coldstore Operators are the heart and soul of the business and are making a real difference to the lives of our customers every day. Accuracy is paramount to ensure customer orders are 100%.

The cold store runs at a chilly -20 degrees centigrade but don’t worry, protective clothing designed to deal with this temperature will be provided along with breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when necessary.

Reporting to the Driver Supervisor and Senior Freezer Operative, you are responsible for helping to pack customers frozen orders ready for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner.

£11.45 per hour + bonus + benefits

**Responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for ensuring customers orders that come in later during the day are accurately picked and placed of the corresponding cage ready for the next morning.
- Customer confidentiality
- Picking orders ensuring zero mistakes are made
- Improve efficiencies and putting them into practice
- Helping the office team where appropriate
- Reporting health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues

Qualifications/Personal Qualities:
**Essential**:

- Evidence of commitment and stability
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Numerate and literate
- Basic secondary education
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
- DBS Checked (and willingness to undertake checks)

**Desirable**:

- Experience within a customer service or care based role
- Experience of multi-drop delivery role
- Health & Safety training
