**Job Purpose**:
This role reports to the Workforce Planning Lead in the Ways of Working and Capability team in ESO Data, Digital and Technology. This is a relatively new team, and there is a focus on establishing, improving and maintaining processes, data and informationrelating to people and resourcing. This will allow operational and strategic resourcing decisions to be made based on accurate information. You will be responsible for reviewing and improving current data management and reporting, implementing both short-and long-term solutions using Microsoft Excel, dashboards, PowerBI and SharePoint, and making recommendations for future systems and strategies. You will take the lead on process improvements, be proactive in understanding current systems and end to end processes,and quickly build relationships with key stakeholders. You will be working as part of the team to embed improvements into BAU, you will turn raw people data into workforce analysis and people insights. Delivering accurate, simplified and easily accessibleworkforce insights to drive strategic decision-making, you will contribute to ensuring DD&T has the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Review and improve current Excel database for operational workforce planning and finance purposes
- Design and interpret dashboards and reports that track trends and deliver actionable insight to people and resourcing data
- Analyse and interpret people data to produce workforce insights, highlighting key issues and reporting trends
- Lead on ad-hoc deep dives for key stakeholders for specific requests on resourcing and capability data
- Deliver an interim solution to tracking and reporting on utilisation data and long term recommendations for a future system
- Manage expectations and identify risks, barriers and challenges to reporting 'good' data
- Across all people data and reporting processes, proactively identify and implement process improvements with a view to streamlining the processes and making the data clean and consistently trustworthy.
- Lead on reviewing the end-to-end contract/vendor management process

**Experience/Knowledge**:

- Experience of working with people metrics, ideally with experience of human resources
- Expert data analysis and modelling skills (advanced Excel and PowerBI user) and a drive to constantly clean and improve the data and analysis processes that you are working with
- Ability to visualise and report insights creatively and in multiple formats Version 1.0 December 2015
- An understanding of the business and a good network
- or the capability to develop those quickly;
- Proactive 'self-starter' with a confident level of ownership and strong attention to detail
- Solutions-oriented and focused on continuous improvement with the customer in mind
- Experience in both operational and strategic workforce planning
- Experience of working with complex people data
- Advanced Excel and Power BI
- Experience of SharePoint including SharePoint lists
- Experience of delivering process improvement

**Desirables**:

- Experience in the activities that workforce planning is a fundamental input to (talent acquisition and management, workforce upskilling, organisational design etc.)
- Experience or knowledge of financial processes
