Your role will be to support their emotional wellbeing, encourage independence, provide structure and activity to the day and manage some complex behaviours. You will work alongside a team of other mental health support workers, as well as a Clinical Psychologist, Education Consultant and House Manager.

A part or full time permanent contract is available.

FTE Shifts are 9:00am--11:00pm (sleep in) 7am - 9.30am including a Saturday or Sunday 2 weeks out of 3. Earning up to £29,700 with 7 shifts over 21 days (sleep ins paid at £64 a night).

Successful applicants will have a passion to support and care for vulnerable young people. It's a challenging job, as we recognise that the children that need the most love can sometimes show it in the most unlovable ways. There are however many victories along the way and it's a job to be very proud of.

Budwood mental health support workers wear many hats A typical day includes facilitating key worker sessions; attending professional meetings; supporting young people to attend education; developing their independent living skills; maintain family contact, keep the houses safe and clean while supporting the young people's emotional wellbeing and helping them to keep safe and make positive choices. Showing an abundance of care and love is vital

Budwood has clear career progression paths, providing support and training for staff to progress to deputy managers and registered managers. Amazing training and the option for fully funded qualifications. Our training programme is extensive - including a range of online and face to face training in attachment, trauma, mental health, safe care, and therapeutic parenting. As well as completion of the Level 3/ 4 / 5 programme in Children and Young People in Residential Child Care.

The Senior Support Worker requirements:

- MUST be over 22 years old
- To have experience of working / parenting children and young people
- FTE To work 7 x 24 hours shifts and sleep ins over a 3 week period (9am to 9:30am the following day, including sleep in shift).
- Part Time shifts available
- To be friendly and supportive, and to have the ability to empathise with a non-judgemental approach
- To be flexible and able to cope with stressful situations
- To work well as part of a team and be able to accept direction and guidance
- Have a full driving licence and you MUST have your own transport as this position will involve travelling.
