**About us**

We are a small, growing ACCA accountancy practice in Shoreham by Sea with an eco-friendly and highly tech savvy approach to our way of working. We like to think what sets us apart is providing a very personable approach to servicing every one of our clients so that they feel valued.

We act for a wide range of businesses and individuals in a variety of industries providing services such as company accounts, sole trade accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, VAT returns, CIS returns, payroll and most importantly business advice.

**The role**

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a desire for a career in bookkeeping and accountancy and wants to gain exposure to ‘real’ work and responsibilities from day one.

You will get first hand exposure to all the fundamental elements of bookkeeping and accountancy such as self-assessment tax returns, payroll, pensions, CIS, VAT returns and company accounts.

You will carry out work on a variety of cloud-based software such as QuickBooks and Xero and be responsible for the implementation and integration of various ‘bolt-on’ Apps, all with a view to delivering bespoke solutions to meet your client’s individual needs.

You will receive hands-on, attentive training which will allow you to develop your knowledge and skills quickly within the role. You will be given the responsibility to design your own processes with a view to creating efficiencies within the practice.

As a smaller practice, you will learn and be directly involved in what it takes to run an accountancy practice and a business generally, an opportunity that very few other firms will be able to offer.

Whilst in the role you will also have the opportunity should you wish to study towards the AAT qualification, with all training, exams, study leave and professional subscriptions fully funded by us.

We offer a premium service to our clients and therefore we need premium people to provide that service. That means investing all the time necessary in you to ensure you become that cut above the rest.

**What we’re looking for**

Our company ethos centers around customer service and therefore you must be confident and personable. You must also be articulate with good verbal and written communication skills.

A great work ethic is a must as we pride ourselves on being a business of 110%ers, which allows us to excel (no spreadsheet pun intended) in everything we do.

We work with various accountancy software and Apps such as Xero and QuickBooks, so you will need to be highly computer literate and tech/App savvy. You will also need a good knowledge of a Windows operating system and Microsoft Office programs.

**Entry level requirements**

Experience in a previous customer service or finance role would be preferable.
