PAYE - £11.55 p/h

Umbrella - £14.50 p/h

**Hours**:8am - 4:30pm

Igloo has a fantastic opportunity for PDI Technicians to work in Sandtoft, in the Northeast Lincolnshire region.
These roles offer PDI Technicians an excellent opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art technical centre for one of the leading automotive companies who have operations worldwide.

**The Role**:
As a PDI technician you will be responsible for carrying out full manufacturer safety checks on a range of vehicles, these checks will include:

- Electrical Conformity.
- Wheel and Tyres.
- Wheels must be in excellent condition, no scratches on the alloys.
- Tyre’s must have no bulges in them, and the tread depth should meet the manufacturers standards.
- Tyres need to have the correct PSI.
- Wheel nuts must be tightened to the correct torque tension.
- Underbody/Ramp Checks.
- Interior & Exterior Checks.
- Bodywork & glass needs to be in excellent condition and meet the manufacturers standards.
- Lights need to all work correctly, including interior lights, indicators, head and fog lights.
- Seats and belts needs to be in excellent condition and meet the manufacturers standards.
- Diagnostic Checks and Road Testing.

You will be responsible for signing off the above checks to state they meet the manufacturer’s standards.

Within this role you can expect to be using the following tools and equipment:

- Midtronic Battery Testers.
- Torque Wrenches.
- Tyre Pressure Readers.
- Airlines.
- Diagnostic Computers.
- Hydraulic Ramps.

As a PDI Technician you will be expected to complete a minimum of 8 Manufacturer Safety Checks per day.

Safety is paramount in this role both in terms of ensuring the vehicle safety checks are completed to the correct standards and also the safety of yourself and your colleagues within the busy technical centre.

**What kind of person we are looking for?**:

- A hard-working PDI Technician who has attention to detail and a passion for working with brand new cars, within a small, friendly, hardworking team.
- You will need to hold a category B driving licence with a maximum of 6 points for minor offences and had no "at fault" accidents in the past 4 years, this is for insurance purposes.
- You will need to be eager and keen to learn new skills and ways of working within the rapidly changing automotive sector.
- These roles offer the potential to progress with the PDI team as well as within other areas of the technical centre.
