**About us**
Croft Care Trust is a local charity run Nursing & Residential Care Home. We care for adults with Learning & Physical Disabilities.
As we continue to develop & re-structure our staff team we have a vacancy for a Senior Carer within our Nursing Home.
The rate of pay for this position is currently £12.75 per hour and will primarily involve working day shifts (07:30 - 21:00), however night shifts (20:00 - 08:30) will occasionally be required for Holiday & Sickness cover (Night Cover paid at £12.95 per hour).
The rota for this position is not fixed, however is provided 4 weeks in advance and will involve working 3 long days per week (37.5 hours per week).
The purpose of this role is to lead in providing high standards of care to all residents at all times as directed by, and under the supervision of the Unit Manager & Staff Nurse. This position will not involve medication management or administration.
- Have previous experience working within a Health & Social Care setting.
- Have a minimum of Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care
- Be enthusiastic
- Have good communication and organisational skills
- Be a team player
- Have the ability to work on their own initiative
- Be friendly, creative and confident
- Have a genuine interest in working with the people with Learning Difficulties
- Have life skills
- Be able to promote independence
- Undertake a satisfactory DBS check
- Have a flexible approach towards working routines
Desirable (but not essential) qualities:
- Previous experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities
