Join us as a Model Risk & Controls Lead
- We’ll provide a great platform for you to learn and develop as part of the Model Risk Governance team
- You’ll be empowered to drive improvements as you focus on supporting business ownership of our model inventory system and producing model risk reporting and insights for relevant stakeholders

**What you'll do**:
As a Model Risk & Controls Lead, you’ll provide key input to the management and continuous improvement of model risk governance across the bank. You’ll also provide key input to the creation and maintenance of policy, standards and procedures for model risk management which are aligned to internal and external requirements.

You’ll be coordinating across Front Office, Risk and Finance model management teams and preparing high quality materials for our Model Risk committee. You’ll also support a high standard of risk culture in the bank, as well as escalating emerging risks on a timely basis, and providing regular spotlights on risks or themes of interest.

Your role will also involve:

- Delivering effective communication of policy requirements and compliance levels across the bank
- Supporting the implementation of policy changes that meet the needs of internal stakeholders and aligning them to the enterprise-wide risk management framework and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring the design and functionality of the model inventory system meets internal and external expectations
- Producing timely and accurate model risk reporting that supports effective decision making
- Developing and delivering educational materials and training on model risk management
- Liaising with Model Risk Governance in NatWest Holdings

**The skills you'll need**:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience in developing, maintaining, and administering policies and procedures or risk system management or risk reporting delivery. You’ll also bring model risk governance framework delivery experience, paired with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage relationships with colleagues at all levels.

In addition, you’ll need the ability to summarise large blocks of information into slide decks for consumption by senior management, as well as Microsoft Office experience, including Excel and PowerPoint.

You’ll also need:

- Experience in risk management and exposure in model risk
- Analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues in a user-friendly, clear, and concise format to all levels of audience
- The ability to prioritise, anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities
- Good attention to detail, thoroughness, and follow-through
- The ability to host virtual and physical meetings, ensuring the prompt circulation and follow up of actions
