First Achieve’s Engineering Division are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead for their client who specialise in elastomer engineering. The purpose of this role is to support 0the company in its achievement of strategic objectives through the provision of a technically strong Quality support function, involving both assurance and control aspects.

**The Role**:

- Maintain accreditation to ISO9001. Facilitate auditor surveillance / certification visits ensuring non-compliance issues are resolved in a timely yet robust appropriate sustainable solution that is equitable to the instance of non-compliance.
- Ensure all QA related policies within the business are kept current with routine review. Keep policies in line with current legislation and our values & behaviours.
- To provide Inspection support on ‘at risk’ processes.
- To assist with new product introduction and improvement initiatives.
- To act on behalf of the Site Manager as ‘sign-off’ authority for customer concern responses.
- To assist with the development and use of appropriate statistical techniques for process control and improvement.
- To maintain departmental and site Quality metrics & Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- To produce dimensional reports for internal and external customers.
- To assist inspection with Measurement System Analyses.
- To support customer and regulatory approval audits.
- To represent the quality department at internal and off-site meetings as required, may include supplier audits.
- Liaise with other departments for example technical and operations to ensure delivery of conforming products to our Customers.
- Supporting audits both internal and external.
- Lead problem solving and continuous improvement activity.
- Produce and deliver training materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers and approval authorities.
- Provide support to the wider team and group as required.
- Quality Focussed
- Quality Awareness; ISO 9001:2015.
- Understanding & implementation of Quality Tools; process flow mapping, FMEA, APQP/Control Plan, PPAP, SPC, QOS(MOS/BOS) Charting, MSA, 8D & Poke-Yoke etc.
- Experience spent working within a Manufacturing Environment.
- Be able to demonstrate experience of problem solving and continuous improvement activity.
- Be able to demonstrate experience of working in a cross functional team.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications with a high degree of IT literacy.
- Practical experience of Continuous Improvement/ ‘Lean’ Projects.
- Significant experience in work-related complex problem solving.
- Ability to demonstrate measurement and inspection skills, with the capability to read and understanding technical drawings.
