**Role Summary**

The Financial and Operations Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance and Operations in overseeing both the fiscal position and business processes of Redbox Mobile. The role is primarily to support the Finance function of the business, and secondarily to assist with the Operations side of the business and helping this to run as smoothly as possible.

**Responsibilities**

**Finance remit**
- Assist the reporting and analysis of the cost base of the company, helping to provide insights into trends and changes.
- To assist in supporting the annual audit, in order to demonstrate suitable external and internal finance controls.
- To assist in formulating and publishing budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting with the reviewing of employee and business expenses with a focus on strong audit controls.
- Prepare monthly reports detailing profit, costs, and revenue for the board.
- Assisting in reporting to Apple on a monthly basis, showing revenue trends and commentary.
- To assist with preparing payroll, bonuses, commission, and contractor payments.
- To assist with handling third-party payments and bills, collaborating with our third-party accountant.
- To help and support the preparation and administration of the invoicing process, ensuring attention to detail and context.
- Assisting with the timely reporting of costs to the appropriate area of the accounts, via our cost-coding process.
- To assist with supplier billing queries and issues.
- To act as the primary contact for credit control and assist in aged debt recovery.
- Support supplier and new client set-ups, including due diligence and completing client paperwork.
- Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to reduce company credit risk.

**Operations Remit**
- Assist with creating process flows for all business operations.
- Assist the Head of Finance and Operations with general business operations.
- To assist with the improvement of ISO processes and annual upkeep.
- Additional tasks as needed for operational efficiency.

**Skills and Attributes Required**

**Relevant Qualifications**
- Experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is essential.
- Professional qualifications such as a related degree, AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar are highly desired.

**Professional Experience**
- Proven industry experience (preferably in a financial control function, but other functions will suit) is essential.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, analysis, and audit processes are desirable.

**Technical Skills**
- Confident IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is important.
- Redbox Mobile has an ISO accreditation in IT security. A wider experience in IT systems would be helpful (but not essential at all).
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero) and CRM systems (e.g., SharpSpring/Constant Contact) are desirable, but not necessary (we will provide training).

**General Skills and Attribute**
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Presentation skills are desirable, sometimes presenting to teams will be required.
- Ability to develop excellent Redbox Mobile product knowledge and general app marketing marketplace knowledge.
- Capability to work independently, collaboratively, and in teams.
- Strong work ethic and highly organised.
- Motivated to be part of a growing, agile business.
- Good time management and ability to prioritise workload appropriately.
- Very strong attention to detail.
- A thirst for knowledge and analysis is desirable.
