Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Manufacturing Engineer sought within Somerset division of global specialist equipment manufacturer offering comprehensive benefits package and further career development opportunities.

The role will be suited to experienced Manufacturing Engineers preferably from assembly based manufacturing backgrounds. A mechanical or electrical bias is accepted although at least a degree of multi-skilled engineering knowledge is required. Key manufacturingskills desired are TPM, 5S, 8D, problem solving, product responsibility, continuous improvements and LEAN principles. Those with a relevant engineering degree are although desired, although experience is key.

The role of Manufacturing Engineer will own the manufacturing system within the allocated manufacturing teams by the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the safe and LEAN processes for existing and new products. This is to ensure operationsare on time, to standard and within budget for each project.

The role:

- Design, prove, implement and maintain manufacturing system to deliver existing, customised and new products safely, on time to standard and within budget according the required yield and efficiency level.
- Implement, own and continuously improve the LEAN manufacturing processes.
- Document traceable processes in compliance ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS18001
- Create training process and procedures with supporting documentation
- Accountability to resolve any non-conformity, internal or external relating to any owned project.
- Elimination of routing and material variances impacting financial results of Product company

*Validated designs for manufacturing with accurate BOM
- To design, prove, implement and maintain manufacturing system layout

The Person:

- Manufacturing Engineering from a complex manufacturing environment, preferably with a strong element of mech/elec assembly.
- Hold a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
