As the QIA Operational Team Leader, you will lead our Quality Internal Assurance (QIA) team within the Customer Delivery Directorate (CDD). Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality and accurate services to our internal and external customers. This includes overseeing quality checks on e-filing and paper documents, providing insightful feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

You will continuously develop and help your team excel by mentoring and supporting them, whilst driving engagement and ensuring that diversity and equality are valued and achieved.

As our QIA Team Leader, you will drive forward our quality agenda and work collaboratively across the business and stakeholders. You will also have opportunity to influence and continually improve our Quality Framework.

**Job description**:
As an Operational Team Leader in our QIA team, you will encourage great behaviours and embed a culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything that you do, by:
Putting a high priority on our quality and internal assurance by:

- Developing good working relationships and collaborating with our CDD teams to embed a quality culture, including responding to requests and concerns.
- Analysing operational team performance to identify error rates and trends.
- Working with our quality lead to identify and focus on priority and at risk areas for focused checks.
- Providing accurate and timely constructive feedback for managers and presenting quality findings.
- Making and recording effective decisions following our criteria and processes.

- Leading and managing your team to deliver key activities and meet stakeholder expectations following our latest policies and procedures.
- Building team capability, to meet current and future skill requirements.

**Person specification**:
As Operational Team Leader for our QIA team, we are looking for you to:

- Have strong leadership skills - to engage and support the team and provide coaching and mentoring support for team development.
- Have effective written and verbal communication skills - to clearly and confidently express yourself to your team, customers and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Be a confident decision maker - proactively engaging with stakeholders to drive forward and deliver our quality agenda.
- Take a positive, open approach to being adaptable and flexible and encourage others to do the same - to meet changing priorities and work streams.
- Take responsibility for producing high quality work to agreed quantity and timescales - taking ownership of problems, and working with stakeholders to ensure they are resolved.
- Use your organisational and time management skills - to manage a quality service, prioritise workloads and be comfortable delivering at pace.
