**Role: Residential Support Worker**
**Salary: up to £28,000 per annum Depending on experience**
**Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire.**
**Contract/Hours: Permanent Full time 37hrs per week**

**A bit about the role**
Summerfields is a six-bed residential home for Children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years old with complex additional needs. The home offers a place of laughter fun and new experiences where the young person can thrive, learn, and develop helping them to achieve a positive future.

**What you'll be doing**:
In the role as Residential support Worker, you will be promoting Action for Children's values as well as supporting the Registered Manager, Service Coordinator and Teams Leaders to achieve positive outcomes for the young person.

- Taking responsibility for the personal care and the daily needs of the young person.
- Being resilient in supporting the young person through challenging situations.
- Being responsible for the safeguarding of the young person.

In the role of Residential support Worker, we're ideally looking for someone who has:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent but don't worry if you do not have the qualification as we will happily provide you with the full training to gain the qualification.
- A positive and confident approach to engaging with children and young people.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of working with children and young people.
