Head of Accounts Payable

**Main duties of the job**:
To report to the Head of Financial Services (or other manager within the financial control team as nominated by the Assistant Director of Finance) in the delivery of a high quality accounts payable function.
The post holder will manage a comprehensive accounts payable function, contributing to the effective and efficient management and payment of all valid invoices received by the trust. They will have due regard to trust policy in respect of effective cash management and national policy, e.g. the Better Payment Practice Code, transparency expenditure, agreement of balances, etc.
The post holder will actively contribute to improving quality, promoting quality approaches and making others aware of the impact of quality.
The post holder will be expected to develop and maintain communication with people about difficult and/or contentious and/or highly complex matters.

- Motivated and capable of motivating and energising a team with a strong customer service focus.
- Able to plan and organise a broad range of complex activities within a team, including conflict resolution and prioritisation whilst achieving tight deadlines.

- Confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including senior managers and other equivalent stakeholders.
