**Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospices **have an opportunity for a **Maintenance Officer **to carry out general maintenance duties at our Ty Gobaith Hospice. Your role will be based at the Hospice and will encompass our offices at Conwy.

You will join us on either **full-time 37.5 hours or part-time 30 hours per week,** on a permanent basis. In return, our Maintenance Officer will receive a competitive salary of £21,232 to £24,623 per annum, full time equivalent.

**About the **Maintenance Officer role**:
Your role as the Maintenance Officer will be to ensure that our buildings are maintained to an excellent standard and comply with all relevant building regulations. You will keep our facilities running smoothly for the benefit of staff, volunteers and customers and support the refurbishment projects alongside the Senior Maintenance Officer, working closely with Hospice Care colleagues.

Your work will include carrying out a range of planned preventative maintenance work, building repairs, refurbishments, grounds work and building/health and safety inspections. You will also coordinate volunteers in our gardens.

You will be a reliable individual with high professional standards, capable of quickly integrating into the charity’s Estates and Facilities team. You will be flexible in your approach to working hours and times.

**What we are looking for a **Maintenance Officer who**:

- Complete maintenance and repair work on the charity’s premises.
- Has a background in building maintenance with a hands on practical approach
- Ensure that repairs, maintenance and periodic testing is carried out safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Work with the Senior Maintenance Officer and Care colleagues to effectively plan maintenance work, minimising disruption.
- Support refurbishments, completing general building works as required.
- Form effective working relationships with Hospice colleagues.
- Work positively as part of a charity’s Estates & Facilities team.
