**Job description - Learning and Engagement Officer**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Engagement Officer to join our team. The Learning and Engagement Officer will work with Senior management and the support team to effectively run our supported accommodation for young people.

**About the company**

HebolSupport is dedicated to helping young people transition into adulthood and live independently. We offer specialist supported accommodation and outreach support to help young people and people with mental health illness gain skills, confidence and plan for a successful future.

Our experienced support workers utilise simplified Support Plans to help our clients focus on their strengths, abilities and dreams and as such the support hours may vary as per each young person’s needs.

**About the Role**

The Learning and Engagement Officer role is to develop and ensure that each service user has and adheres to a personalised independent living plan. This function includes engagement with external and community-based service providers, like schools and gyms. The role’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
- Designing user-specific independent living plans,
- Plan and coordinate activities and ensure that service users attend and complete scheduled activities,
- Evaluate and report on service user compliance with their established plans,
- Liaise and work with Support workers in the implementation of established plans,
- Draft induction programs and facilitate employee onboarding,
- Develop and maintain relationships with community service providers,

The responsibilities listed above are indicative and not exhaustive. Further duties within the scope of the job may be assigned.
- NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People, Health and Social Care or equivalent
- 12 months’ experience in a learning and engagement role and or equivalent experience in youth psychology or social work roles,
- Have the ability to coordinate and work with people at all levels,
- Must have excellent communication skills, empathetic and collaborative skills,
- Must be a very mature and confidential individual.
- Must be very good at organising and seeing through planned activities.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
