GTK is a global provider of electronics solutions including cable assemblies, connectors, displays and manufacturing solutions, as well as the latest generation of Volex power cords. Cable assemblies account for over 50% of our revenue, generated from our own manufacturing plants in Basingstoke and Romania, supported by affiliates in Asia for high volume requirements.
**Summary**:
The Business Manager for Cable Assemblies and I/O will play a crucial role in leading the development and management of our cable harness solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, sales, business development and marketing teams to ensure alignment with product development goals and quality standards. It will involve the development and improvement in the go to market strategy for the product line and ensuring that there are sufficient and effective sales channel resources in place to drive growth.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Coordinate all business opportunities, making sure we can deliver right first time to our customers.
- Clarify customer requirements so that engineering and manufacturing teams can deliver exceptional products that meet our customer expectations.
- Ensure our enquiry process is accurate and efficient to enable GTK to out manoeuvre competition.
- Create value for the customer & business by using knowledge and experience to think outside the box ensuring we utilise all available business intelligence.
- Ensure that all internal customers are aware of customer expectations on lead-time and upcoming projects, so that resources can be correctly allocated where most required.
- Chair the strategic enquiry review meetings, analysing the performance of our sales team and identifying lessons learnt from lost opportunities so that we can drive improvement in the win ratio of new business.
- Support the Business Development team, making sure we make the best use of our assets & services available.
- Be the voice of the customer within our business & advocate a culture of service first.
- Work with the Quality Manager, Engineering & Production teams to communicate actions needed to ensure no repeat issues.
- Identify and assess potential risks in commercial activities, implementing strategies to mitigate them once identified.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in products, services, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Continually seek to improve company procedures, standards & policies
- Manage enquires from all existing customers and new customers. This includes all product types from all supply locations.
- ‘Own’ the enquiry process for GTK manufactured products (UK/RO), ensuring effective communication is maintained with purchasing and engineering.
- Alongside the Sales & Marketing Director, deliver all product marketing across the cable assembly range. This includes supporting the website development, PR, editorials & Advertising.
- Develop sales tools to help promote the custom capabilities here at GTK
- Develop a sales training programme around product launches for internal and external staff.
**Required Attributes**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating within a similar role in the cable assembly industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong technical product knowledge
- Proven experience of project managing external customers within a commercial environment
- Experience of working across different geographical locations and cultures
- Marketing experience
- Prior experience with IPC620 quality system
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
