**Pay: £11.00 p/h**

**Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 07.00-16.00 (30 mins unpaid break)**

**Location: Widnes, WA8 0PB**

**Contract: Temporary to Permanent**

**Start date: ASAP**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Transport Clerk to join our client's transportation team.
The Transport Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations by providing administrative assistance, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth coordination of transport-related activities.

**Duties will include**:

- Preparing and maintaining accurate records of shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.- Ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory requirements.- Debriefing drivers.- Providing general administrative support to the transportation department, including filing, scanning, and organising paperwork.- Dealing with defect administration and raising any defects to drivers' attention.- Assisting in monitoring compliance with transportation regulations, including driver logbooks and vehicle inspection reports.**Skills and experience required**:

- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in transportation or logistics.- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and data entry software.- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is advantageous.- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping.- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
