Payroll Manager

**Salary**:£28000-£32000

I am recruiting for a payroll manager for a client in the Wellingborough area, you will be managing the payroll for around 160 clients, covering weekly and monthly payroll. The payrolls range in size from single person payrolls to businesses with 45 membersof staff.

The payrolls are processed using Iris and whilst knowledge of this software would be an advantage, appropriate training will be provided.

**Payroll Duties and responsibilities**:

- Management and control of the payroll bureau to encompass calculations of payroll and provision of reports to clients.
- Submission of appropriate returns to HMRC as well as to pension providers to ensure Auto Enrolment obligations are met.
- Ensuring payrolls are processed to meet with client’s deadlines.
- Liaising with clients on any payroll related queries.
- Recording starters and leavers
- Recording all appropriate statutory payments, such as SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
- Verification of CIS contractors and submission of CIS deductions to HMRC as required.
- Completion of year end routines.
- Liaising with HMRC as required.

**Bookkeeping duties and responsibilities**:

- on an ad-hoc basis, assisting with the bookkeeping and VAT return requirements for a range of clients.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience within a payroll setting
- CIIP
- An enthusiastic individual who is willing to embrace the procedures in place, but who is also willing to offer their own ideas.
- strong communication skills, attention to detail and a friendly, positive attitude.
