Middlesbrough Council are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and knowledgeable Health Improvement Specialist on behalf of South Tees health partners. This post will contribute to the delivery of the service objectives to promote health and wellbeing, tackle health inequalities and improve health care quality.

We have a dedicated and skilful team of people working on this agenda across our local system. Our collective values drive our shared commitment to working together for our local population, treating everyone with respect and striving to improve the quality of peoples’ lives through providing the best support.

This post will contribute to these aims by:
Delivering on specific priorities and targets relating to improving our local approaches to supporting vulnerable population groups, in particular those living with multiple complexities, migrants and underserved groups.

Helping our local system to have a greater understanding of the health and care needs of the people of South Tees, which is the key to continuously improving the delivery of high quality care and reducing inequalities.

Supporting senior colleagues in South Tees Public Health (STPH) and the wider health system in planning, monitoring, evaluation and responding to health inequalities-related issues.
