We are based in Hertfordshire, in the town of Hoddesdon. The Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose-built conference area has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery team, and a newly formed Formulation Development department. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), formulation development and process chemistry. We have an ambitious growth plan and are seeking to appoint a Senior People & Culture Business Partner to provide strategic guidance on creating and building employee engagement to retain desired talent within the business across all our sites in the UK.

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Generate, analyse, and interpret data that provides reliable information on the engagement pulse of the organisation.
- Identify priority areas for focus to both capitalise on positives, and to address areas of concern and improvement potential.
- Propose, consult, and gain agreement for action plans to build sustained improvement in employee engagement.
- Investigate root causes for employee departures, identifying activities and programmes to address reasonable and correctible causes.
- Identify programmes, activities, and budgets to execute the same with supporting justification and prioritisation.
- Record and report meaningful data and metrics that provide senior leadership with evidence of achievements and progress.
- Establish the confidence of business leaders and HR Business Partners as a supportive authority of matters of employee engagement.
- As Subject Matter Expert on positive organisation and people culture, ensure that the company benefits from industry best practice.
- The role requires all work to be conducted strictly in accordance with company Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work efficiently and tidily such that work is carried out in a well-planned and organised way and timely manner.
- Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training.
- Respect the confidentiality of information obtained in the course of duties performed and refrain from disclosing such information without written consent from Management, except where disclosure is required by law or by the order of a Court.

**Qualification**

Required:

- Educated to a degree level or equivalent and/or CIPD qualified

Desirable:

- Insights Discovery accredited

**Essential Requirements**:

- Proven work experience in an appropriate people and culture role
- Solid experience in managing change and acting as a change agent
- Solid experience in Employee relations in a progressive organisation of significant size

Desirable:

- Internal and external communications
