** Learning and Development Coordinator - £29,0000-£36,000pa**

**Job Purpose**:
Support the Learning & Development for the organisation, contributing to the review and development of service provision, upskilling the workforce, assisting with monitoring the Learning & Development budget expenditure, developing the business planningprocess in terms of L&D outcomes, developing a robust approach to talent management and supporting the induction programmes.

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Assist with the delivery of Learning and Development (L&D) plans and policies, liaising with internal and external experts to ensure that staff L&D needs are met, managing the implementation against agreed corporate time frames, contributing to the developmentof the L&D strategy and reporting against agreed performance measures at appropriate intervals, maximising the resources of the team and external practitioners as appropriate, to deliver on agreed plans. This will include introducing a robust process to measurethe impact of L&D across the business.
- Assist with monitoring the L&D budget, with specific responsibility for the Apprenticeship levy, including monitoring expenditure, forecasting future budgetary requirements, ensuring that all financial transactions comply with the organisation financialpolicies, processes and procedures. This will include ensuring that all purchases and contracted services comply with the business and legislative guidance, process and procedures.
- Contribute to the L&D business planning process for the department, taking account of the Director’s guidance and the business priorities, providing data and ideas, options and potential solutions based on the knowledge of programmes, staff turnover andachievement and their impact on human, financial and physical resources.
- Provide excellent consultation, design, facilitation and IT training delivery, in order to ensure the provision of high quality L&D training, CPD and related initiatives for the business, including delivering the Apprenticeship programme and contributingto the talent development and management training programmes for the business to support future capabilities and succession planning.

**Person Specification**:
Qualifications:

- CIPD qualified and/ or working towards Chartered Membership status.
- Minimum of 5 passes at GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths
- Coaching/ Mentoring qualification (Desirable)

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in a learning and development role within a strategic HR function.
- Proven work experience in the delivery of IT training.
- Experience of implementing and supporting organisational change through effective development programmes, advice and guidance to managers.
- Demonstrable significant experience of designing, delivering and managing the development of group and individual work based skills.
- Teaching experience or experience of training adults in digital skills (Desirable)
