- This is a remote based regional role to be based in the South of England with a requirement to attend our various offices within the region that you are based as per business needs. A clean driving licence is essential and you may be required to takepart in an on-call management rota._

**Purpose of the Role**

This exciting new Property & Facilities (P&F) Area Manager opportunity has arisen to join our P&F team to create and maintain great places to work. You will work closely with our Services Partners, sites and internal teams to ensure a best-in-class service.

You will be responsible for effective delivery of P&F services, Health & Safety and Compliance within your geographical remit. The role will heavily involve people management, team and individual motivation and knowledge building.

This position is to be based in the South of England to cover the SW, SE, South Wales, the Midlands and Jersey.

**What you will do**

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, the Head of P&F, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more
- Directly manage the P&F Managers within your area, and ensure sites are run efficiently, delivering value for money and a best-in-class internal customer experience.
- Manage HR and recruitment activities/people management in line with company policies / procedures, train and develop your direct reports including new starter inductions.
- Effective performance management, supporting your team to drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting your team in their day-to-day roles via effective and regular communication and support/manage their portfolios during periods of absence.
- Host your own area meetings to ensure continuity of business strategy throughout the business, share best practise and discuss any issues/updates for that week.
- H&S and Compliance Management.
- Project Management, including direct management of high-risk works.
- Vacant Property Management.
- Quote and PO approvals - asking the right questions to ensure best value for money.
- RAMs / SOP approvals and issue PTW.
- Utilities, Rates and Service supplier management.
- A hands-on approach on sites as required.
- Providing reports to the Head of P&F as required.

**Who we are looking for**

This is an opportunity for a professional, organised individual who can lead by example and maintain a friendly, enthusiastic approach. You will need to multi-task, be customer and quality focused whilst driving team and personal performance. We are lookingfor someone who is/has:

- Hard and soft facilities management skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety.
- People management experience and adaptable communication skills.
- Customer account management experience.
- COSHH, IOSH and Prince2 (or similar) essential.
- Multi-site management experience.
- NEBOSH, IWFM preferred but not essential.
- IT literate.
