**£55,000 - £60,000 (Permanent, Hybrid)**

They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced (5 years’+ post qualified) Financial Controller to join the business on a full-time and permanent basis.

Supporting CFO, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and control of the Finance, Purchasing & Stores functions within the organisation.

**The role**
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance function ensuring timely reporting of management information and reporting both at a local & group level
- Support the CFO in managing the financial performance of the business, including all operational and financial projects.
- Motivate and develop the finance team
- Forecasting, budgeting, 5-year plans, Long Term Business plan, statutory reporting, pension accounting and ad hoc reporting requirements
- Prepare budget review and subsequent revision of income, cost, and capital budgets; perform long term financial plans.
- Maintain key external relationships with auditors, banks, tax advisers etc including managing the external audit process.
- Manage the cash requirements of the business with cash flow monitoring and forecasting processes Provide commercial analysis to support the decision-making
- Prepare capital investment appraisals and discounted cash flows as required
- Be an active member of the Senior Management Team involved in core business discussions and organisation wide committees as required.

**Essential criteria**:

- Qualified accountant to include membership of one of the CCAB accounting bodies (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5+ years post qualified experience in industry
- Full current driving licence (desirable)
- Proven people management experience through leading, motivating and developing a team
- Proficient working experience of Microsoft Office (in particular excel spreadsheets and word) or equivalent
- Experience of Budget preparation
- Experience of production of monthly accounts
- Experience of preparation of statutory accounts
