**Location**: Wolverhampton

**Job Type**: Full time

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing globally whilst ensuring the best market value.
- Rationalise suppliers, building a manageable vendor portfolio.
- Introducing robust processes to ensure they are maximising cost saving opportunities.
- Working closely with engineering and production to ensure materials and parts are correctly sourced in line with technical specifications.
- Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels in line with the order book.
- Negotiating costs and SLA’s in line with business requirements.
- Work with the other companies within the group, sharing intel and ensuring the optimisation of group buying power where suitable.

**Knowledge, Skills, Experience**:

- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong negotiation skills.
- Have the ability to influence and drive best practices.
- Be confident in communicating at all levels and willing to deal with end-to-end purchasing including administrative tasks.
- The ability to build collaborative supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost and lead times are in line with business objectives.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience within a technical, manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience working with international suppliers would be advantageous.
- Ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms.
- Ideally, CIPS qualified but not essential.
- Excellent MS Office and MRP experience.
