Project Buyer Job Description

A leading engineering company, JAM Recruitment, is seeking a skilled Project Buyer to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will specialize in Highly Regulated manufacturing projects.

The Role

As a Project Buyer, you will report to the Project Buyer Manager regarding procurement activity and site reviews. You will work closely with key stakeholders and engineering teams to provide appropriate materials and highlight materials that must be purchased. You will also manage export and change control with subcontractor and supplier contracts in line with project needs, while developing and supporting site cost reduction opportunities.

The Person

To succeed as a Project Buyer, you will need knowledge of project lifecycles and project delivery in Highly Regulated environments. You will require expertise in contract terms and conditions using NEC Contracts and ERP systems. Additionally, experience of building relationships with suppliers, working to supplier's processes, and delivering on agreed KPI's is essential.

The Package

As a Project Buyer, you will be on a salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience. In addition, there are other benefits included, such as a good pension scheme, a true commitment to your development and career progression.
