A wide and varied customer industry base, which includes toiletries and cosmetics, pharmaceutical, contract packing, cleaning, surface coatings, drinks/beverage, and chemical manufacturing.

**The Role**:
Responsible for delivering operational objectives, for the Industrial Division.

Developing and driving operational improvements, to deliver the best possible capacity, capability, and economics across the group.

Responsible for ensuring maintenance and capital investments are delivered effectively and safely.

**Operations Manager - Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement an effective engineering and process improvement programme and manage projects to improve efficiency, capability, product conversion costs and asset longevity.
- Ensure the correct level of maintenance and infrastructure sustenance for each site, including developing planned maintenance schedules and critical spare parts provision.
- Define processes to identify key levers, process parameters, and value streams, and assess the value and capability of new or additional technologies through innovation
- Support a "High Challenge, High Support" environment to nurture talent and drive personal development of staff.
- Work with depots to create a cohesive divisional team with harmonised processes and approach to stock management and order fulfillment.
- Drives connectivity and fosters effective working relationships with stakeholders and staff across sites, functions and divisions.
- Identify, provide and facilitate solutions to process, engineering and technical problems.
- Have good understanding of the end-to-end order to dispatch process and key transactions within the TROPOS e-Business Warehouse system.
- Support Operations Director determine KPIs for the site and measure them on a regular basis
- Provide support to the SHEQ manager for the implementation of SHE and Quality initiatives, investigations and monitoring.
- Build a trusting relationship with peers and team members and work effectively cross-functionally providing constructive feedback and reporting for the site when required.
- Work with the Site/Production Managers and Operations Director to ensure best use of resources and support, best practice sharing and group policy implementation
- Ensure a proactive approach to SHE related issues to deliver continuous improvement of occupational and process safety. Exhibit SHE leadership through own behaviours to set departmental standards
- Responsible for ensuring all company facilities and assets are fit for purpose, compliant, including management of key service contracts and suppliers, and propose improvement plans or capital investment cases to the board where appropriate.
- Ensure all statutory checks are undertaken and records of the checks are documented and easily accessible, including but not limited to: Loler, Atex (equipment/ducts and filters), electrical infrastructure, water systems, gas infrastructure, workplace monitoring,LEV checks, nitrogen pipeline, FLTs, First Aid arrangements.

**Operations Manager - Requirements & Experience**
- Desired: SHE qualification (e.g NEBOSH/IOSH), DSEAR/COSHH trained. Continuous Improvement qualification (such as 6-Sigma).
- 7yrs+ Experience of leading process and operational improvement projects in a chemical industry environment (or similar environment)
- Experience of leading complex teams, facilities management, and leading capital investment projects
- IT literate. Able to collate and present complex operational data.
