Birmingham, United Kingdom Excelsior Multi Academy Trust Full time

To develop and actively support internal and external marketing and communication within the Trust and its Schools, and to raise Excelsior Multi Academy Trust profile with staff, pupils, other stakeholders, and public audiences.
- To play a key role in building and sustaining a coherent identity for the Trust and its Schools, communicating our stories and successes to various audiences across a wide variety of media.
- To help achieve this you will manage relationships with key suppliers, including designers, printers, and web developers, to ensure value for money and the highest of standards are met.
- To explore and seek grants and other funding opportunities to raise money for the benefit of the pupils of Excelsior.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Marketing and communications**
- To ensure that all communication, marketing, customer, and stakeholder-facing collateral across the Trust is consistent with and supports the brand strategy. This includes acting as the guardian of the brand, delivering clear guidance for use of the brand as well as templates to be followed.
- To draft and deliver high quality and engaging communications, both print and online, including news stories, features, social media, and newsletters for internal and external audiences.
- To manage and develop school websites, including the creation, upkeep, and management of content. Ensuring that content is appropriate for intended audiences and effective oversight of all page owners/editors and their contributions to sites.
- To develop individual communications plans for schools and being responsible for their full implementation.
- To support with website accessibility and GDPR compliance in School communications activities, including utilising and advocating appropriate platforms and formats for internal and external audiences.
- To be proactive in raising the Trust and its Schools social media profile, recognising collaborations, partnerships, promotional opportunities and disseminating information effectively.
- To procure the Trust’s marketing collateral, ensuring value for money.
- To deliver a wide range of marketing communications activities that influence, engage, and change behaviours.
- To conduct a range of other communication tasks to raise the profile of the Trust and its schools.
- To monitor the impact of marketing communications activities, in-line with the objectives set.
- To brief and manage a suite of creative designers, videographers, and web developers.
- To oversee production of publications, including the writing of copy.
- To visit all schools within the Trust in order to generate materials for publication etc.

**Events**
- To help deliver engaging and exciting events to key stakeholders. This will include coordinating the Trust’s events calendar, both internal and external events including open evenings, annual awards ceremony, and school events.
- To represent the Trust at internal and external meetings and events.

**Fundraising**
- To initiate, plan and implement grant/funding bids
- To liaise/negotiate with external funding agencies, often in being solely responsible for the fund acquisition activities of the Trust
- To seek grants from new funders to grow the Trust’s income, conducting research for new opportunities to build and develop pipeline of new prospects.
- To explore and seek multi-year funding opportunities, seeking pledges of three or more years.

**Other key duties**
- Compiling and analysing statistics related to online and social media presence and making recommendations for development.
- Supporting emergency planning and business continuity communications as required.
- Contribute to implementation of strategic plans and financial and funding policies in support of school objectives.
- Work with the MAT Core Team Senior Leadership Team to identify projects that require external funding

**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To ensure any duties which include the processing of personal data are undertaken within the Trust data protection guidelines.
- To plan own work to ensure the meeting of defined objectives.
- Individuals have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people he/she is responsible for or comes into contact with.
- To ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety
- To undertake appropriate professional development including adhering to the principle
- of professional growth.
- To operate at all times within both the spirit and the practice of the Trust Equal Opportunities policies
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Trust
- Any other duties as commensurate within the grade in order to ensure the smooth
- running of the MAT.
- To assist in the merging of new schools into the MAT’s procedures.
