Treasury Accounting Assistant

**Overview**

A 12-month FTC opportunity has arisen for a Treasury Accounting Assistant to join our Treasury function within the Head Office Financial Service Centre.

**How will you contribute?**
- Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager with day-to-day responsibility for liquidity management
- Improving information streams to deliver reliable and accurate cash forecasts and proactively building relationships across Wincanton teams
- Daily deposit and funding management
- Bank administration including mandates, BACS management and Barclaycard
- Facilitating all payroll payments
- Ensuring Wincanton internal controls and procedures are robust and regularly tested for compliance, including department process notes
- Supporting forecast and budget processes
- Ad hoc project work and development opportunities as directed by Treasury Accounting Manager

**What will you bring?**
- Part Qualified trainee accountant or by experience
- A team player with good communication and people skills
- An analytical mindset
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude
- Focussed on process development and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Advanced Excel skills, working use of formulas and macros is desirable
- Knowledge of Oracle would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be given
