Yard Operative

**Jewson Billericay** is on the hunt for a **Yard Operative** who's as passionate about great service as we are.
- **Hours**:_7.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 7.30am-12pm_
- **Location**:_Radford Way, Billericay CM12 0DX_
- **Key Responsibilities of a Yard Operative**:_
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions
- Pick a high number of customer orders throughout the day and load these onto customer vehicles, providing efficient service while maintaining health & safety focus
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using a Forklift Truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
- **Required Skills and Experience**:_
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- Stellar communication and people skills
- Customer focussed individual
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items and happy to undergo forklift training
