Pride in London has a renewed sense of purpose to highlight the challenges still facing the LGBT+ community today despite progress. We are run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity and are drawn from all walks of life. Pride aims to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow all of our community to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.

**Your Role**

As Legal Advisor to Pride in London, you will support the Director of Legal in assessing and managing a range of legal matters navigated by the organisation. Typically, this will include reviewing and amending contracts (related to, for instance, suppliers, performers, and infrastructure) to protect Pride’s position, as well as advising on matters of regulatory compliance, and generally acting as a trusted legal advisor to the Board of Directors.

**Your Team**

You will be joining a lean team, reporting directly to the Director of Legal and acting as their go-to for support. As the only two individuals within the legal team, you will have direct input into the advice being given and will be able to contribute to the directions taken by the team.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts and suggesting appropriate amends based on legal risk profile.
- Advising the Directors on the legal obligations owed to Pride’s contracting parties.
- Advising on general matters of law affecting a corporate entity, including GDPR, health and safety, Directors’ duties, and more.
- Horizon scanning for any upcoming legal changes, disputes, regulatory. frameworks, or similar that may affect Pride in the future
- Liaising with external counsel and managing relationships with other legal parties.
