The shift pattern is Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm

West Dunbartonshire Community Mental Health Teams are looking to recruit a first level Mental Health Nurse to work across our community services. The postholder will exercise full clinical responsibility and accountability for the assessment of Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder adhering to their professional guidelines and scope of practice. They will have a particular remit of leading on ADHD assessments, providing written feedback to the referring CMHT for further physical health and wellbeing and the delivery of Psychological interventions across the teams.***

They must also work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, to provide a specialist mental health service, through provision of assessment and evidence based psychological interventions. This will typically promote and provide self-help materials. The practitioner will promote good mental health and wellbeing initiatives, through treatment and preventatively, through health promotion, early intervention.
- By providing specialist advice, consultation, training and supervision to other members of the Mental Health Network, Primary Care and to trainees in a variety of professions.
- Developing the role of the Mental Health Practitioner and the practitioners own profession; within the service across the city, will be a key aspect of the role.
- There will be a responsibility for day to day management and clinical supervision of other staff.
- Leadership Skills will be required to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

Once the service is developed locally, there will be an expectation that it is redeployed to the wider GGC service.
